1.Gin

Our Journey towards embracing the flavors that the PNW has to offer. Check out Jenn’s blog for the story behind Fortunate Feast & her table top settings that will soon be adorning our blog pages as well.

Seth’s Blood Orange 75

1 1/2 oz Gin (we used our favorite local Gin by Captive Spirits)
1 oz blood orange simple syrup
1 1/2 oz blood orange juice
4 oz Chilled Prosecco (You have to try Joe’s Secco)
1 slice blood orange
Simple Syrup -
1 cup sugar + 1 cup water, in a small sauce pan bring mixture to slight simmer to dissolve sugar. Once sugar dissolves, remove pan from heat and place 6 slices of blood orange in to the mixture and let steep for 30 min. Fish out the orange slices and pour simple syrup into a squeeze bottle and store for up to 1 week.
In a shaker half-filled with ice-cubes, combine the gin, simple syrup and blood orange juice. Shake well and pour into your glass of choice, top with Prosecco and garnish with orange slice.

Mo Hines Photography is going through some very exciting transitions this year, stay tuned for more on that.

Until then here is a recent Engagement session with a beautiful couple. We were given the opportunity to capture Nawid and Kelly’s love of Seattle, The Sounders, and most importantly their genuine love for each other.

It seems that summer had officially ended in Seattle, it is time for me to trade in my flip flops for my rain boots. As the season begins to change and the leaves begin turning colors, here is a little reminiscing of summer time family fun.

This shoot made me really happy, It made me smile through the whole process from shooting to editing.  This shoot was amazingly whimsical.  Full of merry go rounds and sunshine, sibling love and those precious moments of a little girls first steps.

enjoy

This specific family is near and dear to my heart.  Juliet gave me the honor to photograph the beauty of maternity and the precious newborn moments a few months later.  Now as Juliet and Justin transition away from Washington to Davis CA, I  was able to capture their last week in Seattle.

love you guys!! Seattle misses you!

This is one of my favorite moments on a wedding day, when the bride is standing with her father & looks down the isle at her soon to be husband. It is so special and it is one of the few moments I vividly remember from my wedding. On this particular day the light was just right and this was a beautiful accident.

I love those….

This stunning wedding is coming to blog soon
