Mo Hines Photography is going through some very exciting transitions this year, stay tuned for more on that.

Until then here is a recent Engagement session with a beautiful couple. We were given the opportunity to capture Nawid and Kelly’s love of Seattle, The Sounders, and most importantly their genuine love for each other.

This specific family is near and dear to my heart.  Juliet gave me the honor to photograph the beauty of maternity and the precious newborn moments a few months later.  Now as Juliet and Justin transition away from Washington to Davis CA, I  was able to capture their last week in Seattle.

love you guys!! Seattle misses you!

Let me just put it short and sweet, September in Seattle has been stunning.

September 9, 2012

The other day I came across a great quote; “love is a canvas furnished by nature and embroidered by imagination” – Voltaire.  After contemplating the powerful imagery within the quote, it made me think of a beautiful outdoor wedding that we had the amazing privilege to shoot in May.

Katelyn and Michael were married on Whidbey Island, WA.  It goes without saying that south Whidbey Island is an ideal and scenic location to exchange wedding vows.  This sleepy island in the middle of the Puget Sound also happens to be the backdrop for Katelyn and Michael’s love story.  This amazing couple met and fell in love on the Island in High School, so it truly was the perfect location to celebrate their big day.

In getting to know Katelyn and Michael and learning their love story, we were both blown away by how unselfishly they supported each other’s journey even when multiple states and schools physically separated them. They came together on this day in May 2012 to commit their love to each other and it was truly beautiful.

This is one of my favorite moments on a wedding day, when the bride is standing with her father & looks down the isle at her soon to be husband. It is so special and it is one of the few moments I vividly remember from my wedding. On this particular day the light was just right and this was a beautiful accident.

I love those….

This stunning wedding is coming to blog soon
