These are a few of my favorite things………
Those of you who know me know that I love pregnant belies and fresh babies, and when I get to photograph each step along the way it just really is one of my favorite things! Mary contacted me in the early months of her pregnancy to set up a maternity shoot and it worked out that I got to be there for miss Malia’s birth and we again reunited for a 6-month session. I am a Labor and Delivery RN and I get to be there for many births, this one however, was the first one that I had the opportunity to photograph and I have to admit it was beautiful and I got a little tear for this one.
The maternity and 6 month session took place at Green Lake and we were blessed with no rain & sunshine on both occasions!
Such a beautiful and fun family!
~ thank you Mike, Mary and Malia for such a beautiful experience

Happy Thursday…..
It has been a little while since I have had time to post a new session, but I am back from the blogging dead.
Today I am sharing with you a special session. It is special to me because as many of you know I am a Labor and Deliver RN. For this family I was at the birth of this beautiful little one and then a few weeks later had the absolute pleasure of meeting the family as a whole and capturing some really fun moments they shared. Fun with welcoming spring time to Seattle. Thank you so much to the Delano family for allowing me to be part of these moments.
Hi there and Happy Monday!!!
Today I have for you one of my favorite types of sessions. Photographing bellies and babies is how I got started in this photography business world. Being that I moonlight as a labor and delivery nurse I have an affinity for both the beauty of a mother’s tummy and that little life that awaits inside.
The first part of this shoot I partnered with Jenn Blake from “bow tie & bustle”. Jenn came up with the concept and design for this super fun “bun in the oven” inspired theme. See more of Jenn’s work at www.bowtieandbustle.com. We were also featured on “On to Baby” a cute blog about all things lovely for moms and babies.
When little Sophia came I was able to photograph a few more gorgeous moments for this beautiful family.
Making the best of another soggy, Seattle day. Oh Seattle how I love you….
We recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful family. One of the things that Seth and I keep getting reminded of in this business is that we are blessed by each encounter with families and couples.
Photography gives us the opportunity to spend time with people we might not normally get to and in each of these encounters we see love in a unique and special way. This family was no exception. Life is so joyful when you welcome a little girl into to the world and here we are welcoming baby Lua.
So its December; 2010 is almost over. I have not posted in a few months and just wanted to give a little update. I started off 2010 with a new years resolution which I did not stick to I am afraid. I set out to post and take one picture per day for 365 days. I had no idea where that little resolution would take me. I really just wanted to explore my creative side, work on my camera skills and just take pictures. Seth, my husband and business partner really poured our hearts in to our photography business and here we are. I have not posted anything in months. The reason being is we have been shooting weddings, families, babies and just about anything else that will let us take pictures. We have been so busy I have not had a chance to keep the blog up to date. We have so much to share so I will commit bloging more often. But I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been involved over the last year. Seth and I are so excited for 2011 and all the new adventures to come. Here is just a little taste of what we have been up to. Meet Jett, he was born to Shiloh and George in October. They are some very special friends who we got to spend time with on a recent visit down to California. Here is their beautiful little bundle of joy.
